Sometimes it takes nature’s breathtaking beauty to kick you in the butt when you’re in a photo slump.

Watch these wonderful time-lapses of flowers blooming as shot by Katka Pruskova on a Canon 5D. They’ll make you want to shoot your own.

    The Best Photos of 2012

A man walks inside of the crumbling oval skeleton of the House of the Bulgarian Communist Party on mount Buzludzha in central Bulgaria on March 14, 2012.

We’re not the only ones who think this was pulled straight out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, right?

Free Lensing is when you take an SLR, remove the lens, hold it over the mount and tilt it up and down, etc to get a tilt shift effect. The neat thing about using this technique is that if you flip the lens so it’s backwards it turns into a macro lens with a super dreamy look to it. So, if you’ve got a basic 35mm or 50mm you’ve also got a tilt shift and a macro lens.

Again, what I love about photography is that I think I’ll never know everything about it.

    Learning is cool!
